Class Summary - October 29, 2017

  • The class presented their information on Saints Cosmas & Damian at the Saint Fair.
    • Sadly, the fair was poorly attended. Thank you to those parents who came to show their support.
    • The 4th grade class had a great display - those who attended really enjoyed it.
  • For the last 20-30 minutes of class we watched Prince of Egypt - I told the children that anytime we had a few minutes left of class we would continue watching it.
  • There is no regular class next Sunday, November 5! Each child should have brought home a bright pink (for the girls) or green (for the boys) piece of paper explaining their respective retreats.
    • On Sunday, November 5th, the 4th, 5th, and 6th grade girls will be traveling to visit with the Sisters of Saint Joseph in Erie. We will depart the OLQA parking lot at 8:00 a.m. to celebrate mass at 9:00 a.m. and enjoy the Sisters company. We will return to OLQA around 1:00 p.m.
      • Make sure to completely fill-out and turn in the permission slip!
    • On Sunday, November 12th, the boys will be having a retreat at OLQA. Please contact Denise and Amanda for information.

  • Art Print: The Vine & The Branches (done in class)
  • Supplemental Video: Share Your Gifts (not watched in class)
  • Vocations Worksheet for Kids - Grades 3-4 - please go over this with your child at home. Because I included it in the folder the first week, no one has brought it back as I've asked.
  • Please make sure your child brings their green folder to class! This is important!
  • The children had TWO WEEKS to get the homework done and only two did it. We will go over it again next week:
    • Homework from 10/3 - page 37, Acting With Love. To be completed by next class (10/15/17). Complete 3 = good; 5 = better, 7 = best.
    • Homework from 10/15 - Pray for vocations in our diocese. Think about what you want to include on the poster for the All Saint's Day Fair on 10/31. Reminder, our saints are Cosmas & Damian.
